Emma Elizabeth Harris Snow, of Gordon, passed away on April 21, 2014. She was born in LaGrange, GA, to E. D. and Rosa Harris on September 27, 1939. They lived in Milledgeville, GA most of her life. She was married to James Carl Snow of Gordon, GA, where they resided the majority of their 53 years of marriage. Emma enjoyed extending gracious hospitality and her love of Jesus through her service to others. She got great pleasure from uplifting others and making them know they were special in the eyes of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is remembered fondly by her friends and family as the "Southern Lady" that couldn't do enough for others. Emma is preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Rosa Harris of Milledgeville; Roy and Ivella (parents-in-law) Snow of Gordon; and a son Richard Early Snow. She is survived by her husband Carl Snow of Gordon; two brothers-in-law: Rufus Snow, of Gordon, GA, and Dan (Faye) Snow of Columbus, GA; two daughters: Karen (Duane) Clayton of Ivey, GA, and Rhonda Snow of Gordon, GA; and seven grandchildren: Duane (Skylea) Clayton of Manhattan, KS, Jason (Traci) Clayton of Greensboro, NC, Julia Langston, Matthew Langston, Richard Langston, Mark Langston, and Wyatt Allen. Funeral Services were held at Snow Hill Church on April 24, 2014, at Snow Hill Cemetery. Published in The Macon Telegraph on Apr. 23, 2014.
