Daniel L. Popp, age 67, of Mishicot, Wisconsin entered eternal life on Thursday January 3rd, 2013. His valiant battle with cancer came to an end at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Daniel came into this world on April 19th, 1945. Born in Manitowoc Wisconsin, son of Elizabeth J. (Gruber) Popp and the late Llyod Popp.
He was educated at the St. Joseph Catholic School of Alverno before attending Valders High School. Daniel was a lifetime resident of Manitowoc County, most recently in Mishicot. Daniel Married Mary Lou Mangin and had four children together before their lives took separate paths and divorced. The children (in order of birth) are John, Tammy, Kim and Mark. Daniel later married his second wife Debra Popp of Two Rivers who remained his friend throughout his life even though the marriage also had ended.
Daniel was a welder with both Stoelting in Kiel and later with the Manitowoc Shipyards. For many years Daniel worked at Lakeside Foods before spending his remaining years prior to his illness as an employee of Holiday House where he enjoyed working with the clients and all his fellow co-workers.
Some of the things Daniel enjoyed were watching classic movies and old television programs. He was an avid motorcyclist and liked cars and country music. Watching birds was a hobby Daniel took to avidly even making houses for his avian friends by hand. Daniel especially enjoyed being a Grandfather to Selena.
