Marie Johanna Becker, age 89, of 1616 Assman Road Mishicot, entered eternal rest Friday morning, Aug. 19, 2005 at the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Paul Paider, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Marie was born Oct. 24, 1915 in the town of Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Kampf) Jasper [sic], and attended St. Luke Parochial School in Two Rivers. On Oct. 31, 1935, she married Arthur Becker at St. Luke's Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death April 12, 1981. Together the couple farmed in the town of Mishicot for several years, and later owned and operated their own sand and gravel business for 45 years. Marie also was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. from 1954 until retiring in 1978. Marie was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; one son, Donald; an infant great grandson, Hunter Louis; five brothers, Oscar, Joseph, Edgar, Herald, and Edwin Jasper; one sister, Alice Mull, and by two nieces, Audrey and Sharon Jasper.

Friends may call at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning until the time of mass at 11 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Mishicot is assisting the Becker family with funeral arrangements.
