Brown, MaryAlice (Nee Enright ) MaryAlice died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the age of 85 years. Born April 9, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Patrick Wallace and Catherine Alice Enright. Beloved wife of Gene Brown. Devoted mother of David (Nancy) Brown, Dennis (Candy) Brown, Alison (Chris) Perry, Tim (Carolyn) Brown, Kathy (Mark) Miner, Steve Brown, Terry Brown and Pat (Synara) Brown. Beloved former daughters-in-law, Julie Hickey Brown and Romi Symington Brown. Proud grandmother of Casey, Claire and Colleen Brown; Brian, Shaun, Beth, and Tara Brown; Katie, Kellie and Jenna Perry; Conor, Phil and Mary Jewel Brown; Michael, Megan and Terry Miner; Jake, Kylee and Kyra Brown; Peter, Moira and Maggie Brown; Dylan, Daniel and Cecilia Brown. Loving great-grandmother of Corrine, Lilah, Will, Braden and Delaney. Dear sister of Lois McInerney, Kay (Chuck) Keller, Wally (Barb) Enright and Jim Enright. Also left to cherish her memory are nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. The family will greet visitors at CHRIST KING PARISH, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa on Saturday, March 15 beginning 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a reception for family and friends. Private burial will take place at Wauwatosa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Wauwatosa Historical Society or the Order of St. Camillus Foundation. MaryAlice received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Illinois. She was a 50 year resident of Wauwatosa and was very engaged in the community. MaryAlice served as a Den Mother, St. Pius X Volunteer Art Teacher, St. Pius X School Board member, Wauwatosa Historical Society volunteer, Wauwatosa East Booster Club Board member, Wauwatosa East PTA Board member, Wauwatosa Parks Board member and a Shoo the Flu volunteer. MaryAlice was proudly named Wauwatosa Distinguished Citizen of the Year in 2005. She also loved bowling, bridge club, teaching arts and crafts, and watching her children play grade school, high school and college sports. She gave completely and selflessly of herself to her family, friends, community and parish.
