Eugenia (Wright) Battle Feeney
She was the daughter of William N. and Mary (Buchanan) Wright and married Allen Owen Battle - 10 Oct 1876 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. After his death, she married James Robert Feeney - 26 Jan 1886 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:
Mrs. Eugenia W., wife of Capt. J. R. Feeney, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Rodes, in Macon, Georgia, at 11 o'clock Saturday night, August 14, 1909, aged about 53 years. Mrs. Feeney was the daughter of Mr. W. N. Wright, deceased, and sister of Mrs. A. B. Wright. She had been an invalid for a number of years and though weak, her death was unexpected. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and when health permitted, was regular in her attendance at that sanctuary. She was true and loyal in every sphere in life and leaves friends who deeply sympathize with the family in their grief. The remains reached Fayetteville on the 9:40 train Monday morning. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. J. Collier at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the residence of her mother, Mrs. Mary B. Wright, after which the interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
