Emma M. Foust, 91, formerly of Lakemont, passed away quietly in her sleep early Thursday morning at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born in Lilly, daughter of Paul and Emma (Hooder) Homerich. She married Charles F. Foust on May 13, 1939, in Lakemont, and he died Jan. 4, 1993.

Surviving are two daughters: Elizabeth Kelley of Wallingford, Conn., and Rose Singer (Donald) of Hollidaysburg; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four brothers: John, Paul, George and Charles; and two sisters: Julia Hudak and Anna Mardula.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. George; and a son, John W.

Emma attended Altoona Bible Church.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, by Pastor Stewart McClelland. Interment will be in New Canoe Creek Cemetery.

The family requests that donations be made to Altoona Bible Church, 3017 Union Ave., Altoona, PA 16602, in memory of Emma.
