Funeral services for Donald W. Abrams, 75 of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Entombment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic Service will be held at 6:30. Mr. Abrams died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at his home. A memorial fund has been established. Don was born March 2, 1930 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of William and Nellie (Moss) Abrams. He married Carole DePaepe, May of 1948. He later married Linda Weston, June 9, 1968 in East Moline. He had worked as an Independent Milkman through the Rock River Dairy for 21 years. He had also been an Insurance Agent with John Hancock and Prudential. He was a member of the first Baptist Church, Silvis and the Silvis Masonic Lodge 898. He enjoyed dancing, music and NASCAR. He and his wife loved to travel in their RV, where Don's favorite destination was Gordon, Nebraska (his childhood home). Survivors include: his, wife Linda Abrams of East Moline, IL; daughter and sons-in-law, Linda Marie Kirk of Hartford, CT, Rebecca and Irving Anderson III of Taylor Ridge, IL, Teresa and David Ortberg of Aledo, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Joann Abrams of Chicago, IL; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Leo Walz of Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Betty Atto of Rock Island, IL; brother-in-law, Marion Lance of Moline, IL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Billie Patterson of Buckeye, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
