Mr. Taylor enlisted on April 6, 1918 and received his honorable discharge on May 24, 1919. According to the website: http://www.ww2-airborne.us/units/307/307.html, his "battalion was involved in the first major American offensive of the war - Ste. Mihiel. Subsequently, it also participated in the Lorraine and Meuse-Argonne Campaigns. It was during this time that the battalion earned the motto "I maintain the Right" when it protected the right flank of the 82nd Infantry Division by repulsing an attack of a numerically superior German force."

He died of Natural Causes at the age of 56y, 10m, 4d. He passed away at the Almo Hotel in Deming.
