It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Howard Findlay after a brief illness in his 95th year. He lived his life faithfully with a firm belief that he would be reunited with those loved ones who went before him.
He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret, two brothers and four sisters, his stepson Gerry Patch, grandson Daniel Patch and his second wife Edith (Patch) Findlay.
He is survived and fondly remembered by his stepsons Howard (Karen) and Randy (Carol) Patch, several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces and their families.
Albert was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Kamloops and Emmanuel Baptist Church, Victoria, before moving to Kamloops. He was an avid Blazers fan rarely missing home games and listening to most away games on the radio. He was forever inventing handy gadgets, many of which continue to be used by family members today.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses who gave such great care in the emergency, surgical, 6 north, step-down and 5 north wards. Special thanks to Drs. Phil Sigalet and Richard Brownlee for their excellent care.
Funeral arrangements by Schoenings Funeral Service. Memorial service at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 11, 2007, First Baptist Church, 454 Columbia St, Kamloops. A further celebration of his life will be held in Victoria’s Emmanuel Baptist Church at a date to be announced.
Those wishing may send donations in Albert’s memory to the
New Life Mission or the RIH Foundation.
