Since 1943, he had served on 16 different site locations for DuPont. Son of Edward and Maude Pye Bubb. He married Helena Doris Herrman on 25 December 1939 and they had four daughters. He was a passenger on Piedmont Flight 22 which collided, mid-air, with a twin-engine Cessna 310. All 79 people on the Piedmont flight and the 3 people on the Cessna were killed.
