DENMARK, Wis. – Jesse Hayes, 79, Denmark, Rt. 1, died at a Green Bay hospital this morning after an illness of about three months.
Mr. Hayes was born in the Town of Gibson, Manitowoc County, on Sept. 4, 1879 and had been employed as a farm hand all his life. He retired 20 years ago and purchased a home at Denmark, Rt. 1, where he had lived since his retirement. He never married.
Mr. Hayes is survived only by a sister, Mrs. Hanna Olsen of Minneapolis, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the DeWane Funeral home here where funeral arrangements are tentatively set for Saturday. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Friday evening.
