Thomas A. Ackerman, 89, Hot Springs Village died on Friday April 25, 2014 at a local hospital. Thomas was born April 08, 1925 in Nashua, NH to the late Raymond and Mary (Diggins) Ackerman.

Thomas served as a air plane mechanic in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. Following the war he spent his years as a Sales Executive in the manufacturing for Oil companies. Thomas was active in the local chapters of the VFW and American Legions.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Robert T. Ackerman; two brothers: Ray and William Ackerman and two sisters: Ruby Nute and Jean Therriault. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years; one son and daughter-in-law of Henderson, NV; one daughter of Fayetteville, AR; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A Memorial service was Thursday May 01, 2014 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Bruce Limozaine officiating. Interment directly followed service at CedarVale Cemetery. Holy Trinity held a reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Services were entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home.
