WILLIAM Randolph GLASOW Sr
Funeral services for Atty. William Randy Glasow, 52, of 441 Tomahawk St., Park Forest, Ill., formerly of Manitowoc County, who died Thrusday
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, while on a visit with relatives here, will be at 111 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Clement Kern will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Glasow was born July 6, 1916, at Valders,son of the late Reinhold Glasow and Mrs. Rose Christel-Glasow-Thielen.
He was graduated in 1934 from Valders High School, received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Marquette University, Milwaukee, and in 1940 his bachelor of law degree from the same school.
During World War II he was a corporal with Co. A, Sixth Basic Training Battalion and served in a legal capacity in the chief attorney's office at Veterans Administration headquarters, Milwaukee.
He practiced law at Manitowoc after his military discharge with the late City Atty. Edward Meyer under the firm name of Meyer and Glasow with
offices at Manitowoc and Valders.
In 1942 he was named supervisor of the Manitowoc County Board from Valders and served in this capacity until chosen an investigator for the U.S. Civil Service Commission.
In November, 1950, he was elected Manitowoc County district attorney. He resigned the post in 1952 to take a job as legal counsel with the Office of Price Stablization, Green Bay.
While living at Manitowoc he also sought the municipal court judgeship.
Presently he was serving as legal consultant
for the United States Government, Housing and Urban Development, Chicago.
He married Pearl Novak April 15, 1941, and she preceded him in death Dec. 7, 1967.
He belonged to the Wisconsin Bar Assn., Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include five sons, a daughter; three sisters, Mrs. William C. Mueller and Miss Rachel Glasow, Manitowoc and Miss Ruth of Pasadena,
Calif.; a brother, Russell of Milwaukee, and two grandchildren.
A brother also preceded in death.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock this Friday evening.
