Edith A. Klackner, age 92, a resident of Northland Lodge, Two Rivers, Wisconsin formerly of 2211 Virginia Drive, Manitowoc, Wisconsin entered eternal life on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Northland Lodge.
Edith was born on November 13, 1921 in Germany. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth Stoltenberg Krug. Edith attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1940. She had been employed for many years with Vince Hanson Realty Company. On June 11, 1941 she married Karl O. Klackner in Wausau, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1997.
She is survived by her son: Dean Klackner, Manitowoc, WI; one granddaughter: Jill Taylor, Colorado Springs, CO; two great grandchildren: Addison and Ryan; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Betty and William Herman, Two Rivers, WI; Margaret Ruzek, Two Rivers, WI; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Christian and Elizabeth Krug; husband: Karl; daughter-in-law: June Klackner; brother-in-law: Joseph Ruzek.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Anderson. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremated remains to be at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. Following the memorial services there will be a light luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
