In the 1930 Federal Census we find Eugene Douglas Farley, age 15, is living in the Jumping Branch District, Summers County, WV with his father, Thomas Lee Farley. His stepmother, Sallie died in 1923, 2 days after giving birth to their son, Walter Lee. Also, living with him is his twin brother, Clinton Eulean Farley, brothers Denny Harold, age 10, Walter Lee, age 7. It list another brother, Alie, age 4, this is the only place this person is listed, I do not have any other information concerning him. Clara Lilly, age 45, is a Servant in their home.

It says his dad is a farmer and Eugene is going to school.

My mother, Nellie Lee Farley, was Eugene's half-sister. She was born to Thomas Lee Farley and his 3rd wife, Winnie Ellen Bolen Hall Farley.

Eugene "Gene" Douglas Farley was the son of the late Thomas Lee and Dolly Boyd Farley. His mother died when he was very young.

In the 1920 US Federal Census, lines 24-30, we find Eugene D. "Gene" Farley, age 5 is living in the Jumping Branch, District 0142, Summers County, WV with his father, Thomas Lee, age 45 and his stepmother, Sarah Margaret "Sallie" Basham Lilly Farley, age 38. He has a twin brother, Clinton "Clint" Eulean, and 2 stepsisters (twins), Willie and Dollie (Basham), and a step brother Beecher (Lilly) Farley.

His father is a farmer and owns his farm. His parents did not attend school, but could read and write.

In the 1940 Federal Census lines 34 to 36, we find Eugene Douglas Farley married to his wife, Ivory. They have a baby daughter, Lorreta.

Also, on the same census page, lines 20 to 22, you will find his twin brother, Clinton married to his wife Edna. They have a baby daughter, Juanita.
