Mrs. Ruby Frances Morrison, 87, wife of the late Robert Eugene "Bob" Morrison and a resident of Leemont, VA, passed away at the home of her daughter, Dale, in Berlin, MD, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
Born August 31, 1926 in Carbonear, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Bertram Chubbs and Marion Hiscock Chubbs. Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker, and member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Dale Lucy Morrison of Berlin; three grandchildren, Mariah, Chelsea and Kayla; a great-grandson, Gregory J.; three brothers, William Chubbs of Carbonear, Alvin Chubbs of Foxtrap, Newfoundland; and Eric Chubbs of Carbonear; a sister, Yvonne Parsons of Kitchener, Ontario; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, James and Sheldon Chubbs.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Onancock, VA, on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Berkley Ford officiating. Interment will be held in the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, ME.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
