Edwin W. Krueger, 81, of 5732 S. Union Rd., Manitowoc, died late Thursday evening, January 28, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Krueger was born Feb. 13, 1900, in the Town of Newton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Gottfried and Ottilla Herwig Krueger. He grew up in the Town of Newton, where he attended school and lived all his life. He married Eleanora Haupt June 20, 1925, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. He operated a small dairy farm and sawmill and was a mason contractor. Mr. Krueger was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutehran Church and Manitowoc County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanora, a son and daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Janice Krueger of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Floyd Luebkee of rural Manitowoc and Pearl and Edward Ansorge of Route 2, Newton; a brother, Harlan Krueger and two sisters, Mrs. Edmund (Clalie) Hoeffner and Mrs. Alma Carstens of Manitowoc, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A grandson, Douglas Ansorge, three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, State Street chapel, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church from noon Monday until the time of service.
