A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Ada Marie Gallagher, 71 of Newark, was held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Cynthia Cross officiating.
Burial followed at Newark Memorial Gardens.
She passed away at the Newark Healthcare Centre on October 30, 2011.
Ada was a member of the Old Country Church, where she was a "prayer warrior." She volunteered for the Salvation Army for many years. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors included a daughter; 2 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; special friend, Charles Luckett; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Harold McClaskey; two half-sisters, Emileen (McCloud)Sayre and Isabelle (McCloud) Raiden; a half brother Diotis McCloud.
