She would grow up to be a short women with sparse hair, skinny legs, large ears, and a beaked nose. She was said to have looked like a bird with a brain to match. Woolsey made herself up for the act. She suffered from Virchow-seckel syndrome, or bird-headed dwarfism. She worked for many years at Coney Island and with Ringling Bros. She was also in the movie "FREAKS" made in 1932.
