"Mrs. Clarissa A. Cline, wife of Darius Cline, died at her home near Hudson last Friday night about 10 o'clock. On Saturday before, Mrs. Cline in some way got a small place on her hand bruised, but she paid no attention to it, until a few days afterward, when her arm and hand began to swell and pain her a great deal. Dr. Jones, of Granite, was called in on Friday and pronounced it erysipelas, and gave her something which he thought would relieve her. It did not, however, and the doctor was sent for again at 8 o'clock, at which time Mrs. Cline was taken with convulsions, and from which she died at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Cline was buried at Granite on Sunday."
