Dennis Scanlan, 100, Cooperstown, died Thursday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past five years. The son of the late Dennis and Catherine Powers Scanlan was born Dec. 25, 1870 in Cooperstown and was a lifelong farmer in the area. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. The Holy Family Hospital held an open house last Christmas for his 100th birthday.
Survivors are nieces and nephews.
At DeWane Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 p.m. today. Parish and Holy Name Rosary at 8:30 tonight. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, with a nephew of the deceased, the Rev. Lambert Scanlan of Menasha, as celebrant of the con-celebrated Mass, and the Rev. James Geenen, pastor, as lector. Burial in church cemetery.
