John J. Rysticken, 65, 1118 South Twenty first street, was drowned in the river at the Bartlett Frazier elevator, South Water street, Monday afternoon. The body was taken from the river by the police shortly after 5 o'clock.
Rysticken's coat and hat were found on the dock. He had been seen in the vicinity about 3 o'clock. A phone to the home revealed he was gone and dragging the river brought up the body.
Dr. Gerald Rau, county coroner, pronounced it a case of accidental drowning. No inquest will be held.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church.
Survivors are the widow, four daughters, five brothers, three sisters and 12 grandchildren.
