Andrew Sieracki, 79, retired town of Manitowoc farmer, died Thursday night at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. He had made his home with a son, Alex, on the home farm at Rt. 3, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Leschke Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sieracki, a life-long resident of the county, was born Nov. 8, 1874, the son of the late Edward and Josephine Shemack Sieracki in Manitowoc. In 1897, he married the former Anna Mrotek who preceded him in death in 1926. Later he married Mary Dempski who died in 1946. Mr. Sieracki retired from the home farm in 1934.
Survivors include nine sons, John, Edwin, Max, William and Stanley of Newton, Henry, Sylvester, Alex and Daniel of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. John Glisch of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Clarence Hein of Manitowoc; two brothers, John and Joseph of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Richter and Mrs. Rose Koppe of Manitowoc, 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.
