CHARLES SITKAWITZ
(1900 - 1968)

Charles Sitkawitz, 67, of 1911 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sitkawitz was born Dec. 28, 1900, at Northeim, son of the late John and Rose Tomchek Sitkawitz. He was employed 40 years by Mirro Aluminum Co. before retiring in 1966, and was a member of the firms 25 year Club. He married Irene Ziarnik June 21, 1922, at St. Mary church.

She survives with a son, Richard of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Orchekowski, Mrs. Benjamin Muchowski and Mrs. Elmer Pech, of Manitowoc; and three grandchildren. A brother preceded in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where at 7 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.

Because we cannot thank each of you personally, we take this way of telling you how much we appreciated your sympathy and help at the time of our recent bereavement, the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Mr. Charles Sikawitz. We are especially grateful to the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John S. Landowski, Rev. John Koprowski, Rev. Joseph Tomchek, Rev. Charles Tomchek, organist, soloist, altar boys, and the Holy Name Society of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, pallbearers, donors of spiritual bouquets, flowers and food, donors and drivers of cars, the ladies who helped prepare and serve the dinner, and any others who assisted us in any way.
