Valeria C. Smugler, 88, a lifelong Manitowoc resident, who resided at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon, March 27, 1987 at the Home.
Funeral services will be 8:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 9 am at St. Mary Home Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bernard Binversie will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Mrs. Smugler, nee Valeria Clara Korlesky was born September 4, 1898 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Martin and Nettie Betka Korlesky. She was married to Raymond B. Smugler, November 9, 1920 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death February 12, 1965. Mrs. Smugler was a charter member of St. Andrew Parish and St. Theresa Society of the Parish.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Ed Kusek of Willard, Ohio; four grandsons, Edward, Dan, David and Donald and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 pm to 8 pm this Sunday, where a prayer service will be 7 pm by Deacon Robert Drubka.
