PATTON — REED – Andrew L., 38, Patton, passed away Sept. 5, 2012, at Altoona Regional Medical Center. Born May 31, 1974, in Altoona, son of Sam Reed and June (Holtz) Reed of Patton. Andrew was the previous owner and partner of MNA Manufacturing in Johnstown and was employed by Charles Merlo Construction. He also worked for Altoona Pipe & Steel. Andy was a wonderful husband and father. His family was his life and he loved spending time with his boys. He loved hunting and fishing and was a Dallas Cowboys fan all of his life. He was a 1992 graduate of Cambria Heights. Member of Carrolltown Rod & Gun Club, Patton Sportsmen's Club, St. Benedict Vets, Carrolltown Firemen's Club and Carrolltown Legion. In addition to his parents, Sam and June, he is survived by loving wife, Sherri (Balzano) Reed, whom he married May 31, 1997; and his sons, Jarred, age 13, and Nathan, age 9, all of Patton; sister, Cindy Day, and husband, Jason, Revloc; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phil Balzano, and wife, Cheryl, Ashville; sisters-in-law, Lori Balzano, Elmora; Kim Balzano, Ashville; and Jennifer Balzano, Ashville; grandmothers, Sarah Balzano and Frances Reed; nephews, Anthony and Dominic Day; and niece, Addison Balzano. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at McCabe Funeral Home, Patton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton.
