PERU, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mrs. Jean R. (Williams) Casella, ( 73y ) d: November 20, 2000 - of Hickingbotham Road died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Northfield on Nov. 5, 1927, daughter of Eugene and Margaret Bixby Williams, she attended the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, Conn. A homemaker, Mrs. Casella had worked at the Dalton Nursing Home and at Ashmere Nursing Home in Hinsdale. She was a communicant of All Souls' Church and the founder of the Pittsfield Deaf Club for Women. She also was a member of the Senior Citizen Western Massachusetts Hearing Impaired Assocation. She enjoyed crafts, her family and her grandchildren. She leaves her husband, Andrew G. Casella, whom she married July 21, 1951; a daughter, Cheryl Prue of Dalton; five sons, Andrew Casella of Ormond Beach, Fla., Stephen P. Casella of Cheshire, Ronald E. Casella of Becket, Daniel G. Casella of Adams and Jeffrey L. Casella of Waxhaw, N.C.; a sister, Helen Ricker of Northfield; a brother, Harold Williams of Northfield; 12 grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. END:
