Mary Leverett Everett was the daughter of Capt. William Leverett and Lucretia Leverett, She married Horace Everett October 13, 1811 in Windsor, Vermont with the Rev. Bancroft Fowler officiating.

"We regret to learn, as we go to press, that Mrs. Mary Leverett, wife of the late Hon. Horace Everett, long resident and well known and esteemed, in this village and vicinity, died, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Collins, at Angelica, N. Y., on Saturday last, 24th inst., in the eighty-fifth year of her age. She was seriously ill but a few days; and she died in the calmness and peace of the Christian faith and hope. She leaves three sons and two daughters; Mrs. Hopkins of Hanover, N. H., Mrs. Helen E. Collins, with whom she made her home for several years, Horace, of Councils Bluffs, Iowa, Edward and Leonard. Mrs. Everett will be remembered by many still resident here, and they will be pleased to know that her interest in her native village continued to her last hours."
