CONDUCT FUNERAL HERE
Mrs. John Swanson of Orofino Passed Away in Chicago
The remains of Mrs. John Swanson of Orofino, whose death occurred November 15 in the Presbyterian Hospital at Chicago, Ill., reached Lewiston yesterday and the funeral will be held from the Vassar Chapel at 10:30 o'clock this morning.
The deceased was born June 9, 1860, at Silverton, Oregon, and at the age of 18 years was united in marriage to H. L. Gray of Bangor, Maine, whose death occurred several years ago.
On May 20, 1912, she was united in marriage to John Swanson of Orofino.
Recently Mrs. Swanson went to Chicago for medical treatment, but her illness had developed beyond recovery.
Mrs. Swanson's maiden name was Louisa Josephine Cox and L.D. Cox of this city and Ernest Cox of Rosebury, Idaho are her brothers. She is survived by five children--Robert Gray, Joseph Gray, Martha Gray and Mabel Gray of Orofino, and Mrs. Edward Thenon of Spokane. Mr. Swanson also survives her.
A number of Orofino citizens reached Lewiston yesterday to attend the funeral, these including Ellis Small and wife, R. A. Compton, Mrs. Fred Frazier, John Malloy, Charles Bradish, and William Walsh. Other Orofino citizens will arrive this morning to be present at the services.
