Peter George Guengerich, 92, of 1105 S. Seventh St., formerly of 7465 Myrtle St., Manito, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Hallmark House Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 4, 1910, in Morton to John and Fredericka Schick Guengerich, he married Ida Marie Foster on May 28, 1931, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Ronald (and Sharon) of Elmhurst; and one half-brother, John of Mackinaw.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, three brothers, one sister, three half-sisters and two half-brothers.

He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 32 years, retiring in 1972 as a maintenance welder.

He was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin, where he was a former member of its planning committee and Men's Club.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
