Carla Mae Albright, 75, passed away quietly at her home in San Jose, CA on April 9, 2014. She lived life to the fullest even while fighting a long battle with cancer and heart disease.

She was born at home on June 15, 1938 in Uintah, Utah. She was the youngest daughter of Arie and Dora Kranendonk. She was raised primarily in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

Carla was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life and held many callings.

In May 1959, she married Gerald Albright in Las Vegas, NV. They lived in Southern California and later moved to San Jose, CA. They had three children, Suzanne (Duane) Arave, Hooper, UT; Steven (Janice) Albright, San Jose, CA; and Sandra Albright, San Jose, CA. They later divorced.

Carla loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with them outdoors going to the beach, swimming and snow skiing.

She retired from Los Gatos Memorial Park in Los Gatos, CA where she worked as a receptionist for 22 years. She took pride in her job and was a great source of help and comfort to many people.

In February 1990, Carla married her best friend Robert Yuhas, they enjoyed doing everything together, especially traveling all over the U.S.

Carla is survived by her three children, two step-children, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three sisters: Thelda (Albert) Shiffler, Lila (Gayland) Smith and Vaunda Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Rhea Boyce, two brother-in-laws, and granddaughter Shaleen Arave.

A Memorial Service was held for her in San Jose CA on April 12, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 21st at 2 p.m. at the Hooper Park Ward Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West. A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service, at the church.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
