Louie Beatty, 45, of Sioux City died Mon. 26 Jan. 2004, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m., at Riverside United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Janice Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel.
Mr. Beatty was born 10 Feb. 1958, in Sioux City, the son of Robert Carl & Frances Claire (Chaussee) Beatty. He was raised in Sioux City & attended West High School. He lived in Sioux City, all of his life.
On 12 May 1979, he married Debra Lyn Johnson in Sioux City. They had 2 children, Clint & Sara.
He was employed by W.A. Klinger as a truck driver until his early retirement due to his illness.
He was a stock car fan all of his life. He also was a stock car driver at many local tracks, Interstate, Alta & Onawa.
Survived by his wife, Debra Lyn; a son, Clint Robert Beatty; a daughter, Sara Marie Beatty, all of Sioux City; his father, Robert Carl; 2 brothers, Steve (Patty) of Newcastle, NE. & Allan & (Kathy) of Sioux City; a special little angel, AnnDea Rose Boetger; & many nieces & nephews & many caring friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Claire & a brother, Kevin Beatty.
Pallbearers will be Gary Maine, Doug Hesse, Paul "Choppie" Riggs, Doug Fay, Ron Beckstrom & Delvin Howard.
