He was a past president of the Syracuse Typographical Union and served as deputy administrator for the pension plan for the International Typographers Union. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Genevieve Spivak; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Maureen) Reynolds of Holtsville, and two grandchildren. Services were conducted in Colorado Springs, with graveside services to be conducted locally at the convenience of the family,
