EAST PROVIDENCE – Albert J. Andrade, 91, of Rumford, died Sunday morning, May 4, 2014, at the RI Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rose Alma (Morrell) Andrade.
Born Dec. 13, 1922, in East Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Angelica (Andrews) Andrade. Mr. Andrade was a WWII Army Combat Infantry man fighting in battles in the Rhineland and Central Europe.
He leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Stanley Smith of Seekonk; 3 grandchildren, Diane, Scott and Karen; and his 8 great grandchildren, Michael, Kaylyn, Steven, Christopher, Lauren, Allison, David and Kevin. He was also the brother of the late Edith Hendricks.
His funeral will begin Saturday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Margaret's Church, Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8pm.
