William was the son of Oren and Martha (Harper) Vick. He married Willie White McCullough in 1896 and they had seven children: Izora Edna, Ernest Dewey, Oren Henry, Ervin Edgar, Orville Travis, Ruby Ester and Otis Earmon.

For W. P. Vick

Funeral services were held Monday at the Church of Christ, West Columbia, Texas for W. P. Vick, father for E. D. Vick of Longview, Mr. Vick died Saturday, December 17.
Mr. Vick had been a resident to West Columbia for the past 40 years. He was former County road superintendent of Brazoria County, and for many years served as Justice of the Peace, the post he held at the time of his death. he was a longtime member of the Church of Christ, with Edward McCaskill, officiating, assisted y Roy Stevens.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ellen Vick, West Columbia, a daughter, Mrs. Izora Rechif, West Columbia; three step-daughters, Mrs. Jean Dunn, Houston; Mrs. Blondell Alexander, Wilson, Okla.; Mrs. Muriel Hammond, Sweeney, Texas; four sons, E. D. Vick, Longview; Oran Vick, Big Spring; Ervin Vick, Orange, Texas; Otis Vick, Winnsboro, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Mary Hale, Floydada, four brothers, Bert, San Antonio; Newt Vick, Dallas; Jesse Vick, Fort Sumpter, N.M.' Noah Vick, Ft. Worth; 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, Interment as in the Damon Cemetery.
