Kenneth affectionately known as "Ken" was born July 6, 1934, in Lowellville, a son of Gus and Minnie Arp.
He was a 1952 graduate of Lowellville High School and attended Ohio Northern University. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the infantry from 1954 to 1955. He was, by trade, a carpenter for over 40 years with various contractors in the area, most recently with the union and local No. 171, before retiring in 1999.
Ken loved sports, he was an avid Steelers and Indians fan, enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joan Kunovich, whom he married Oct. 9, 1965, a son and daughter, one grandson, three sisters, and a brother.
Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Robert A. Arp and sister, Laverne Flora.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
