John worked for many years at Hathaway Bakeries and A&P Tea Co., before retiring in 1978. He was an avid fisherman and lifetime member of the F.O.E. #148 in Springfield.
John was predeceased by his wife Anne in 1997 and his son John P. in 2005.
He loved spending time with his family.
John leaves his son Thomas M. Abare of W. Spfld., his grandchildren Jamie L. Freeto and her husband John and Thomas M. Abare Jr., and his 2 great grandchildren, John Freeto Jr,. and Jillian Freeto.
There will be a Graveside Service Tuesday at 12:30 PM in Calvary Cemetery, Hampden St., Chicopee.
There are No calling hours.
