MAX H. DONAT, 72, died Sunday at home. Born in Antwerp, he retired as an inspector at General Motors, Defiance, in 1975 after 26 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and former president of Antwerp Conservation Club. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Deane; three daughters, Laurel Hopkins of Antwerp, Leta Bryant of Huntertown, Ind., and Luann Schaar of Dewitt, Mich.; two sons, Lance of Antwerp and Lyndon of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dooley Funeral Home, with calling from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Maumee Cemetery, with graveside military rites by VFW Post 5087 and American Legion Post 253. Memorials to National Kidney Foundation, 1373 Grandview Ave., #200, Columbus, OH 43212 or to First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp.
