He was born July 8, 1907 in Hilbert, son of the late Otto and Marie Dix Arndt. He married Helen Schwalenberg on July 6, 1929 in the town of Woodville. Mr. Arndt was a butcher and operator of the Palace Meat Market in Brillion for 40 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Brillion and the Lions club, and had been a volunteer firemen in Brillion for 25 years. He was a Calumet County sheriff’s deputy and deputy coroner.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mariann) Durig, Brillion, a son, Clayton, Brillion; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harry Martin and a brother, Lewis, both of Sheboygan.
