She was born on Jan. 28, 1899 in Valders, daughter of the late Edward and Helen Damm Behnke.
She married Otto Rusch on March 15, 1921 in Collins. They farmed in the town of Brillion until 1959, when they moved to Appleton and lived for 18 years. They moved back to Brillion and lived there until 1987, when she went to live with her daughter in Adell. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion and the Ladies Aide.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellenore LaFleur, Adell; three sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Verna Rusch, Appleton; Otto Jr. and Dorothy Rusch, Iron River; Orman and Florence Draheim, Brillion; 17 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Delia Utke, Elsie and Arno Behnke, all of Reedsville; Esther and Alfred Ziemer, Manitowoc; Evelyn Kanter, Brillion; Elmore Graf, New Jersey; Hugo Zutz, Appleton; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Fred and Margaret Behnke, Reedsville; Paul and Violet Behnke, Brillion Myrtle Behnke, Reedsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Rev. Ross Henzi officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
