Zena Mae Vrecenar CHESAPEAKE
Zena Mae Vrecenar, 83, formerly of Christopher Drive, died Nov. 14, 2005, in Colorado Springs, Colo., while living with her son, Michael. She was a native of Conway, N.C. and the widow of Michael J. Vrecenar Sr. She retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an electrician. She was a Baptist and member of Ladies’ Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Branch No. 37 and Victory Lanes Duckpin Bowling League. Survivors include three sons, Frederick Kullman of Colorado Springs, Thomas Kullman Sr. of Chesapeake and Michael J. Vrecener Jr. of Colorado Springs.; one sister, Stella Evelyn Walker of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Wayne Davis of Asheville, N.C., Lewis Davis and Wilbur Davis, both of Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gene V. Primm. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
