Leona J. Kaminsky, age 84, formerly of Two Rivers, currently residing at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, Sept.
27, 2006, at the home.

Leona was born March 16, 1922, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Doncheck. She was a graduate of Washington High School,
class of 1940. On Feb. 9, 1946, Leona married Elmer Kaminsky at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10,
2004. She was employed at Paragon Electric, retiring in 1984. Leona was a former member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, St. Luke's Funeral Choir, Ladies of St. Luke's, the Homemakers Club, and the Two Rivers Community Hospital volunteers. She was a member of the Women's VFW Auxiliary and a former officer and member of the PECO Club through Paragon.

Survivors include one daughter: Jane Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Mary Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one grandson: Christopher Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Gerald (Eunice) Kaminsky, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers-in-law: Cecilia and Adolph Fronk; Martha and William Cornils; Marcella and William Luchterhand; Beatrice and Earl Wagner; Angeline and Eli Malfroid; one brother and sister-in-law: Victor and Mabel Doncheck; one sister-in-law: Mildred Ritchie.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. William O'Brien, with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Church on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 am.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Shady Lane especially those on 4th floor, for their devoted care of Leona during her stay.
