Virginia Beach - Delores "Jean" Rogers, 71, passed away on May 9, 2014 surrounded by her family. Jean was born in Shawneetown, Il. to the late Jackson & Edith Irene Farley. She is predeceased by her eldest daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" LaVeryle Gollihur-Pendland.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her own children, she enjoyed being a nanny and caring for other children. Jean's other passion was breeding dogs.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 36 years, William T. Rogers, Jr.; children, Bill Gollihur & wife Heather, Randy Gollihur & wife Lisa, Rich Gollihur & wife Stephanie, William T. Rogers III , and Timothy Rogers & wife Amber; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11am at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel with burial following at Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7-8pm.
