George was a father to three sons and a daughter. He served his country as a USMC Sergeant. He was involved with the Korean conflict, specifically the Chosin Reservoir..George received a number of medals during his tour of duty . While in Korea, he was in charge of the captured N orth Korean prisoners. After returning from the Korean conflict, he was a drill instructor at Camp Pendleton near San Diego.
