Probably one of the first female doctors in New England, she went to medical school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Boston, setting up practice in Rumford, Maine in 1902. Dr. Laura Noyes was a half-sister to my 2nd great-grandmother, and my 3rd great half-aunt.
