Robert R. Pohl, age 80, a resident of Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died early on Friday morning, Nov. 2, 2007, at the home.

Robert was born on July 24, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late August E. and Anna (Aspegren) Pohl. After graduation from high school, he attended North Park College in Illinois. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge from the U.S. Navy, he was drafted into the U.S. Army for the Korean Conflict. On Oct. 9, 1954, he married Lila M. Garvey at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 2006. Bob was employed at the Manitowoc Company as a computer operator. He was a Boy Scout leader, JR Rambler Equipment Manager, was a member of local bowling and pool leagues, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Bonnie and Paul Carron; and Pam and Dan Kleinschmidt, all from Green Bay; and Mary Kummer, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Lori Pohl, Mishicot; and Steve and Beth Pohl, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren: Jill and Jeff Carron; Chad (Carrie) and Sarah Kleinschmidt; Becky Kummer; Jason and Nicholas Pohl; and Chad, Derek and Dakota Pohl; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Glen and Lorraine Garvey, Oconto; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Donna and Ronald Feest, Two Rivers. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lila; and an infant daughter: Susan M. Pohl.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers.
