ST. CLAIR Cecil A. Konik, 69, of St. Clair and formerly of Marine City, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
He was born in Marine City on May 10, 1936, a son to the late Theodore J. and Marion I. (Sova) Konik.
Mr. Konik was employed by Margate Industries, the parent company of the former New Haven Foundry. He sat on their board of directors and served as a sales manager and executive for 35 years. Cecil was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Marine City.
Surviving are his daughters, Angel Konik (Albert) Pugh of Gulf Shores, AL, and Lee Ann Konik (Tim Camp) of Mobile, AL; a son, Joe Konik of Pleasanton, TX; grandchildren, Christian and Anna Lee Pugh, and Julian Clinton Camp; dear friend, Jodi Yeitter of Port Huron; brothers, Charles of Marine City and Mel of Kimball; sisters, Marlene Konik of FL, Linda Nuytens of OK, and Sandra Ninness of FL; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Mr. Konik was preceded in death by his stepson, Jeff Konik; brothers, Howard and Roy; and sister, Maria.
Funeral mass is Wednesday in Holy Cross Church, Marine City, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visiting in the BowerRose Funeral Home, Marine City, is 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with Rosary Services at 7 p.m. Visiting in the church will be thirty minutes prior to the mass on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to Marine City Newsboys or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
