Mrs. Nial Gates, 38, 1207 27th St., Two Rivers, wife of a Two Rivers commercial fisherman, died at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital at 9:15 a.m.
Wednesday where she had been a patient the past week.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. C. V. Hugo officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Gates, nee Helen Ziarnik, was born in Manitowoc in 1915, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Labinsky Ziarnik. She attended St. Mary Parochial School at Manitowoc and was married to Nial Gates at Manitowoc in 1934. Since
her marriage she had resided in Two Rivers.

Mrs. Gates leaves her husband, two daughters, Audrey and Pamela, and a son, Eugene, all at home; a sister, Mrs. David Balte of Manitowoc; and five brothers, Andrew, Daniel, Leonard and Adolph Ziarnik of Manitowoc, and Clarence Ziarnik
of Two Rivers.

She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Luke Church. Friends may call at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 7 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:45 p.m. Friday.
