Mrs. Pierce, wife of Frank Pierce, an engineer on the Missouri Pacific, died Wednesday, February 21st, at 11:50 a.m. Mrs. Pierce had been in failing health tor a number of years, and an operation, which was performed on Tuesday, was deemed imperative.


Although she rallied after the operation, her condition was such as to preclude all possibility of recovery. Mrs. Pierce was 25 years old and in addition to her husband leaves a son 8 years old, who are heartbroken over the loss they have sustained. The body was taken to Lincoln, Mrs. Pierce's girlhood home, yesterday for interment. Mrs. Pierce's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abbott, two sisters, and two brothers, came to Falls City previous to the operation.


Although they had lived in Falls Oity only a short time, Mr. and Mrs. Pierce had made by their kind and agreeable ways, many friends, who deeply sympathize with Mr. Pierce and little son in their great bereavement.

Mrs. Eva M. Pierce died at her home In Falls City at 11 a.m. Wednesday. She was the wife of Frank K. Pierce and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Abbott of 1301 High street. Death was due to the shock following a recent operation. Mrs. Pierce was 26 years old. The body was brought to Lincoln last evening. The funeral will be from the cathedral Saturday morning, time to be announced later. Interment will be in Yankee Hill cemetery.
