Services for Claire C. Winger, 25, of 1428 E. Madison Ave., will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Winger died Sunday at 421 S.E. 4th Street of a gunshot wound. [Name deleted], 72, of that address, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

A construction worker for Forrest & Associate Masonry, 817 S.W. Ninth Street, Mr. Winger was born in Rockford, Illinois, and had lived in Des Moines for 16 years.
